Wordless Wednesday - Guacamole!!!!

We are trying to eat healthier around here and make more of our foods. Yesterday, as part of a new curriculum we are reviewing we made guacamole! The kids love to work in the kitchen so I let them do most of the work. Here they are scooping out the avocadoes, chopping cilantro, onions, tomatoes and more. Molly wanted to eat the tomato like an apple!

Here is the guacamole all made up!

And then, the real test, the kiddos all tried it. They were super excited to try it, which is rare for them--they DON'T like to try new foods, especially when they are green. But because they made it themselves they couldn't wait to give it a try! Zach was the only one that like it. I was surprised that Molly didn't like it--she likes everything.

Since, the new snack was not such a hit they all enjoyed a bowl of applesauce instead!

So, once again, there is my "not so wordless Wednesday!"

Don't forget to head over to WordlessWednesday.com and see all the other post for this fun meme!
